BubbleWatch: The CW's 'Reaper'
SHOW: "Reaper" (The CW)
IN ITS FAVOR: Set up to fail on Tuesday nights opposite "American Idol," "Reaper" has established a small-but-steady audience and has regularly drawn more viewers than "90210," despite less hype and less promotion. The show also has a certain amount of critical support. Throw in a young cast with breakout potential and there are reasons to keep "Reaper" around.
AGAINST IT: While the overall ratings are better than several already-renewed CW shows, the demo ratings aren't as good and "Reaper" skews toward male viewers, as The CW runs toward female viewers. The show's creators have already packed up and left the studio. Co-star Tyler Labine has already booked another pilot lead. The CW had pretty much checked out when they dumped the show on Tuesdays.
OUR GUESS: "Reaper" already got a bonus season. While there are perfectly reasonable arguments to be made in its favor, "Reaper" just isn't what The CW is building around.
