Which shows won't make it back?
BubbleWatch: 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit'
SHOW: "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC)
IN ITS FAVOR: The lone remaining piece of the "Law & Order" franchise still gets big-name guest stars and can still generate big numbers when it either does two-hour events or when it gets to air in the 10 p.m. hour. And for the season? Its live averages are steady and sturdy and its DVR bump is bigger than what many procedurals get. It also plays steadily in repeats and continues to build syndication inventory.
AGAINST IT: Shows at this age aren't cheap.
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: Assuming everybody involved wants to return for another season, it's hard to imagine NBC not ordering another season. And I continue to insist that were NBC to come to its senses and put "SVU" back in the 10 p.m. hour, it would go back to averaging at least 7+ million viewers and a 2.0 key demo rating each week.
FINAL VERDICT: Renewed!
