BubbleWatch: NBC's 'Whitney'
SHOW: "Whitney" (NBC)
IN ITS FAVOR: NBC has ongoing confidence in Whitney Cummings and, when you get right down to it, post-DVR, the ratings for "Whitney" aren't that much different from most of the other comedies on NBC's bubble.
AGAINST IT: Several of the other shows with comparable ratings have critical support or fanatical fanbases. "Whitney" does not.
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: "Whitney" won't be one of the first shows to get renewed on NBC's bubble, but it also wouldn't be one of the last. If NBC just needs filler that wouldn't require much promotion, "Whitney" could have a tiny amount of value. Renewing "Whitney" would also give the impression that NBC has pretty much given up. So... Think about that, NBC!
FINAL VERDICT: Cancelled!
