'Fringe' is renewed, but what of 'Community,' 'Nikita,' 'Cougar Town' and many more?
BubbleWatch: The CW's 'Ringer'
SHOW: "Ringer" (The CW)
IN ITS FAVOR: The CW made "Ringer" its big-ticket fall show and promoted the heck out of Sarah Michelle Gellar's return to TV, earning the network's best non-"Vampire Diaries" launch of the year.
AGAINST IT: It seems like a long time ago that "Ringer" drew 2.7 million viewers for its premiere. By the end of its run, "Ringer" was struggling to get to 1.1 million viewers. When a show this twisty generates audience response this tepid, it's hard for the network to get inspired about continuing, even when Buffy is involved.
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: "Ringer" seems to be dead. Plus, Sarah Michelle Gellar's recently revealed pregnancy gives The CW a convenient excuse other than, "The ratings were too low and nobody really liked the show."
