BubbleWatch: ABC's 'Body of Proof'
SHOW: "Body of Proof" (ABC)
IN ITS FAVOR: The demo numbers aren't that strong and the overall numbers are more-than-slightly linked to "Dancing with the Stars," but "Body of Proof" is the closest thing ABC has had to a new drama hit in years. Dana Delany is a TV star and even critics who dismissed the show raved at the Emmy winner's ability to carry it. ABC has also showed willingness to let its established shows prop up tepid performers for years at a time (see "Castle," "Private Practice" and "Brothers & Sisters"). In addition, "Body of Proof" has already premiered internationally to good numbers, giving it added value.
AGAINST IT: Very little, really. Either this one comes back, or ABC faces another year of starting from scratch in its drama development.
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: "Body of Proof" will be back, though some creative retooling wouldn't be shocking.
Final Verdict: ABC renewed "Body of Proof"
