TV Shows on the Bubble 2011
From 'Chuck' to 'V,' what shows are sweating out the pre-upfronts week
BubbleWatch: CBS' 'Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior'
SHOW: "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" (CBS)
IN ITS FAVOR: "Criminal Minds" is one of CBS' jewel properties and Forest Whitaker is an Oscar-winning leading man. The "Criminal Minds" spinoff has generally been winning its slot in total viewers.
AGAINST IT: Horrible reviews, plus dismal retention of its "Criminal Minds" lead-in won't help.
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: If it gets renewed, it'll mostly because canceling it outright would show the limitations of CBS' previously astounding franchising success rate. On paper, CBS' development slate is strong and its needs are few, so "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" is in real danger. If it comes back, expect cast retooling and creative tweaking.
Final Verdict: "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior" has been canceled by The CW.
