BubbleWatch: FOX's 'Human Target'
SHOW: "Human Target" (FOX)
IN ITS FAVOR: Wherever FOX puts "Human Target," it does so-so numbers. The producers have shown a willingness to make big changes. And folks like Mark Valley and Chi McBride and Jackie Earle Haley are worth staying in business with.
AGAINST IT: The show made a pile of huge changes last year in the hopes of stirring up a new audience for "Human Target." It didn't work. After adding women, changing the tone, changing the story structure, changing the music and tinkering with the pacing and not getting any bump in return, is there any upside left?
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: FOX just has too many shows in place for fall and possible for midseason. Of the network's bubble dramas, this is the one we least expect to see back.
Final Verdict: FOX canceled "Human Target."
