TV Shows on the Bubble 2010
From 'Chuck' to 'V' to 'Human Target,' HitFix handicaps TV Shows on the Bubble
BubbleWatch: ABC's 'Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution'
SHOW: "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" (ABC)
IN ITS FAVOR: The show generated waves of positive press when it premiered and there have been news stories suggesting that Oliver has actually been making an impact. Ratings started off strong and fell, though the show has remained competitive by Friday standards.
AGAINST IT: The phrase "competitive by Friday standards" means that "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" is drawing under 4 million viewers.
OUR TOTALLY UNINFORMED GUESS: This show can't be expensive to produce and at the cost and factoring in the adulatory press, you almost can't judge it on its ratings. If Oliver wants to do more episodes, we assume ABC will let him and then try to figure out a programming strategy to draw a few more viewers after the fact.
