From the unseen 'Forgotten' to new 'Melrose Place' the unwatchable 'Brothers,' counting down the season's worst
#9 - 'Three Rivers'
"Three Rivers" (CBS) - Premieres Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m.
Like "NCIS: LA," we're viewing "Three Rivers" based on faulty data. Yes, the pilot is leaden and slow-moving and more emotionally manipulative than we'd want to watch every week. But it also featured old sets (since replaced), silly surgical pajamas (since replaced) and Joaquim de Almeida & Julia Ormond (since replaced). Those two actors were replaced with Alfre Woodard, who's single-handedly capable of raising any show by several notches. And building around Alex O'Loughlin and Katherine Moennig, there's certainly room for improvement. "Three Rivers" feels very middle-of-the-road, but once we see the new pilot, it could certainly go up in our estimation.
