Plot: A self-involved sports agent quits his job after having a moral breakthrough and becomes an independent agent, balancing the demands of his only remaining client with the former co-worker he's begun to fall in love with.

What's in it for guys: The sports backdrop is an obvious draw, and Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding, Jr. have an electric comic chemistry as an odd couple who eventually come to like and respect one another. And while most guys these days probably wouldn't rank Renee Zellwegger very high on their list of drool-worthy big-screen hotties, the actress managed to come off both sexy and accessible (1996 was a long time ago) as Cruise's good-hearted love interest.

What's in it for girls: "You had me at hello." Need I say more?
