4. Harrison Ford, "Air Force One" (1997)
It was July 1997. Bill Clinton had been reelected as president eight months earlier and the Monica Lewinsky scandal was a year away. The economy was turning around and things were relatively "good" in America. As President James Marshall, Ford mirrored Clinton's rare youth and vigor for a the job. More importantly, it was every moviegoer's dream: Han Solo and Indiana Jones as the freakin' president! At the time the idea of America's leader fighting off terrorists on Air Force One was considered pretty silly, but in hindsight (and considering the ludicrousness of this summer's "White House Down"), it was actually somewhat conceivable. And, of course, Ford delivered the iconic "Get off my plane!" line, which has been parodied for years. Now, could Ford deal with Congress? That's another question entirely.
