7. Frank Langella, "Frost/Nixon" (2008)
It's hard for me to understand how Frank Langella's stunning depiction of President Richard Nixon in Ron Howard's "Frost/Nixon" was ranked below another movie Nixon that'll pop up later on the list. Langella won a Tony Award for the role on Broadway and then earned his first Academy Award nomination for his performance in the movie version. Langella embodied the man's arrogance and calculating intellect perfectly. His Nixon believes he's easily deflecting the tough questions during his sit-down with "celebrity" interviewer David Frost, but when the Brit turns the tables and Nixon realizes he's no longer in control, that's when the actor truly shines.
