Channing Tatum's dramatic career on ice
Ever since he hit the scene in "Step Up," "GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra" star Channing Tatum has tried to prove he's a real actor. However, his roles in "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints," "Battle in Seattle" and "Stop-Loss" haven't convinced many he really has the chops. That latest ? The author of the intriguing thriller "The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer." Phil Carlo told the NY Post he wouldn't renew an option to develop the book as a movie because producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura (the man behind "The Rise of Cobra") was considering Tatum for the title role. Ouch. How long till someone give Tatum another chance gets to prove he's not just a pretty face?
