'A Million Ways to Die in the West'
Someone forgot to tell Seth MacFarlane that moviegoers were expecting his Western comedy to actually be funny. The creator of "Family Guy" and "Ted" couldn't seem to decide what he wanted "A Million Ways" to be. Was it a comedy from the perspective of a 21st Century smart aleck somehow transported in the Old West? Was it a dramedy about that leading character looking for loves in all the wrong places? Was it an action comedy that pretty much wasted Liam Neeson's considerable talents as the film's de facto villain? It tried to be all three and ended up being something much worse: boring.
