Why it's so bad:  Not since "Hook" has there been a case of studio-mandated chemistry that failed so completely.  For there to be a buddy cop movie, you must believe that the two characters are buddies.  In the case of "Cop Out," it's blatantly obvious that Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan can barely stand being in the same room with each other.  Actually, scratch that.  You want to know what's really wrong with "Cop Out"?  Bruce Willis.  More than anything else, he sucks the energy out of the movie.  If it was that awful, Bruce, why did you take the check?  There had to be other things you could have done with your time besides railroad Kevin Smith and freeze out a perfectly lovely supporting cast.

One nice thing we can say about it:  It got Harold Faltermeyer to write a vintage '80s keyboard score, and that is not a bad thing.  Not at all.
