The Worst 10 Movies of 2010: 'Alice in Wonderland,' 'Jonah Hex,''Little Fockers'

What films didn't hit the mark this year?

Not godawful, but pretty bad...

Not godawful, but pretty bad...

The past 12 months had its share of bad movies, they are hard to avoid with so much blatant product in the mix, but it was nothing compared to 2009 (although we do find it intriguing a Megan Fox movie made the cut for two years in a row).  The list was compiled by HitFix editors who voted on which picture's they thought deserved a mention and there was surprising consensus among the group.  However, please note that if something you hated didn't make it, chances are it was one of the few we didn't catch or possibly just liked. Also, no one on the direct staff saw "Gulliver's Travels" before this list was compiled so Jack Black may be pretty lucky Fox held off on screenings of that one until the last minute.

-Did you mean to say 'said girl' here?

Steven Flores I wouldn't even consider that to be a film or movie. It's just garbage.

  • I've seen a grand total of 2 movies on this list. I'll make sure that number doesn't increase.

  • I am very serious when I give my wholehearted gratitude to you guys for falling on these grenades so we don't have to see them. Thanks for taking one for the team.

    That Werewolf Guy

The thing about COP OUT is, well...I really enjoyed it! I love that they instead of going the usual how-they-met-and-became-friends-route already started with a story that, if this would be a movie series, could have been a part 3, right down to their family subplots. I loved the supporting characters, especially the development of Kevin Pollak and Adrian Brody, who first seem to be the biggest assholes at the precinct, but then turn out to be "just" two guys who do their job and always make fun at Bruce and Tracy, because they are friends know how far they can go. And every time Seann William Scott joins the movie, it becomes hysterical! Which is noteworthy enough, because he didn't made me laugh since...I don't think he ever was funny. The weird thing is that my biggest problem with the movie is indeed the Faltermeyer score, which not just seems to be a forced gimmick, but also sounded more like a bad imitation of an 80's Faltermeyer score.

And despite being very underwhelmed by ALICE IN WONDERLAND, I wouldn't put it on a worst of list. It's just pretty forgettable, but I think a "worst" must be memorable bad. What really put me off was how the movie had to take lots of shit for being "the same as usual from Burton", when it was in fact the least Burton-esque movie since PLANET OF THE APES!

Wasn't the cheshire cat played by Stephen Fry?
I know Sheen does virtually everything that requires an english accent in hollywood these days, but I'm pretty sure this wasn't him

Thanks for putting Grown Ups first. I think the thing that upset me the most about that movie was that Adam Sandler's last movie prior to that was satirizing his decisions to make movies like that (Funny People). He appears to be quite the hypocrite.

Oh and Stephen Fry was the Chesire Cat, Michael Sheen was the White Rabbit, I believe. But I can where you probably just tried to forget everything about that movie.

I'm confused; weren't you supposed to say something nice about Jonah Hex? Saying Megan Fox is in it is the opposite of nice.

"Alice" was a great film indeed. Where are those pieces of crap "Scott Pilgrim" and "The Devil" on the list?

    • Other people disliked "Scott Pilgrim" but it was not universally reviled.

To be honest I didn't really expect mush from an Adam Sandler movie, he always plays the same character, casting Megan Fox in ANYTHING is a bad idea, she's just eye candy, which is never good twice! Also glad that that Alice In Wonderland was in there, very disappointing after all the hype over it, the Cheshire Cat was definitely the best character.
