9. "The Wolfman" (2010)
Baker's most recent Oscar win came for a box office failure trashed by critics: Joe Johnston's "The Wolfman." Say what you will about the film, the makeup spoke for itself and was a new, significant step in a journey Baker started way back in 1981 with another little werewolf endeavor (which we'll get to in due time). Said Dave Elsey, Baker's co-winner at the Oscars that year: "It was always my ambition to lose an Oscar one day to Rick Baker; this is better." Their addition to a long-established canon was classic but terrifying. If nothing else, it looked great on camera!
