In Contention's Top 10 Perennial Must-Watch Christmas Movies
As a break from the normal list-making shenanigans, In Contention offers up a list of my top 10 must-watch Christmas movies. Some that made the cut include "A Christmas Story," "Die Hard" and "Gremlins." It's not necessarily a "best" list, just a "must" list. Click through to see where your favorites may have ranked and feel free to join the discussion at In Contention.

Monty Jack The Ref is awesome. It needs to be on Blu-Ray tomorrow (the DVD isn't even anamorphic).

Kristopher Tapley I dunno. I love the movie. It just never became a must-see for me this time of year.

December 21, 2011 at 3:36AM EST Reply to CommentI love "Love, Actually." It's gooey, yes, but I just indulge the naive romantic in me whenever I think of it. Liam Neeson is superb in the film, and his storyline's my favorite of the bunch...partly because it's one of the few "chase to the airport" climaxes I can tolerate (I actually adore that sequence).
A fun game to play while watching the film is to spot all the famous faces you've seen from other, more famous properties. I keep finding someone new on each watch. Or atleast, someone I counted last time around but forgot in the meanwhile.

December 21, 2011 at 6:37PM EST Reply to CommentScrooged is a HORRIBLE movie. I watched it again for the first time since the 80's a few weeks ago, and it does NOT hold up. Crass, crude and cold, heartless to the core.
