'The Ides of March' and 'The Descendants' give us an excuse to dissect the actor's best work
9. "Burn After Reading" (2008)
In a bit of a twisted take on Clooney's heartthrob persona, the actor's third collaboration with the Coen brothers, 2008's dark comedy "Burn After Reading," is a bit of a comedic gem. Most eyes were trained on Brad Pitt when it came to superlatives that year, and with due cause, but Clooney is hilariously charming, gross, moronic and mischievous. Plus, he offers up a healthy dose of slapstick, one of his more uniqye talents that has been employed a number of times over his career.
