    I feel the consensus is that the writing is by far the worst part of Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. They took some of the best British actors (Firth, Hinds, Jones, Hurt) and whittled their characters down to cardboard cutouts.

    YES YES YES for numbers 1-3 on this list. I would LOVE to see any of these happen when the Oscar nominations are announced.

    This is a great list! I especially agree with what you said about the "Ides of March." The descent of the protagonist into corruption in order to survive was fascinating, and I was still thinking about it when I left the theatre. I wish "Drive" would get the credit it is due, but any nomination is better than nothing....

    Also, I enjoyed Immortals, and I never understood why until today. I enjoy action movies, and I really like Lady Gaga. I guess if you put the aesthetics of the two together, the script really doesn't matter...It obviously didn't for me!
