What he brings: Aside from Anderson's repeat players, there are a handful of actors who have shown up in his work in one-offs. Perhaps they'll be back, but at the top of that list would have to be Gene Hackman. In one of his last roles before retiring from the screen, Hackman relished the part of a ne'er-do-well patriarch in the director's most successful film to date, the Oscar-nominated "The Royal Tenenbaums."
