Before audiences sat down to watch Ron Shelton's comedy about two unlikely partners hustling money from competing teams on the outdoor courts of Los Angeles they probably couldn't decide which was more unlikely: 1. Wesley Snipes (best known for "Jungle Fever" and "New Jack City" at the time) could be incredibly funny or 2. that Woody Harrelson (still on "Cheers") could be believable as a great basketball player.
