He's just pretty darn groovy, isn't he?

He's been one heck of an Elvis
In "Bubba Ho-Tep" (2002), Campbell was not only (possibly) Elvis Presley, but also (very briefly) an Elvis impersonator, and watching him kiss his own ring wasn't even the best part of this weird little movie. If you can go with the idea that Elvis didn't die in 1977 but instead switched places with an impersonator, eventually ending up in an old folks' home with a black guy who claims to be JFK and a growth on his privates, you can totally go with the idea of these two old coots fighting a mummy that's hoovering up old people souls. Campbell and co-star Ossie Davis are a big part of why you'll want to go with the admittedly crazypants concept (based on a short story), and together they manage to imbue the story with a surprising amount of heart and, yes, poignancy.
