After last year’s slight slip with the disappointing “Relapse,” Marshall Mathers made a stunning comeback with “Recovery.” By his own admission, he got himself straight, took care of some other daunting issues, and make an album that was easily his best in years, spawning such No. 1 singles as “Not Afraid” and “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna. Not only was “Recovery” the top-selling album of 2010, but Eminem led all Grammy-nominated artists with 10 nods. It’s the start of what could be a stunning second act.
