Winner: James McDaniel, for owning 'Cop Rock'
On-hand to promote his ABC drama "Detroit 187," James McDaniel was asked a loaded question about a very different cop drama on his resume.
"A lot of people talk about Detroit, and they haven’t been there. Yet they have a negative impression of it. I’m from Harlem. I moved to Harlem in 1985, and people would say, 'Oh, you live in Harlem. You know, I can’t go above 110th Street.' They’ve never been there. Well, a lot of people talk about 'Cop Rock' and tear it apart, and a lot of them have never seen it... It’s the Detroit of series. It’s the little engine that could, my heart will always be with 'Cop Rock.'"
James McDaniel, star of one of the most critically maligned shows ever produced can proudly and defiantly own his participation in said series.
We only mention this in contrast to...
