  • Comic book sales isn't a good indicator of general taste, considering the top selling comic struggles to get to 100,000 copies sold.

Of all the SH flicks coming out this summer, X-Men: FC stands out far above the others due to its fantastic teaser trailer. If I could only see one SH movie this summer it would be this. Green Lantern, Captain America and Thor do not look nearly as interesting (well I'm curious about Thor).

So yes, according to my gut I think a period X-Men movie sans Wolverine will do quite well.

Comic book fans will probably come out and see ANYTHING super-hero related so I'm not sure the popularity of GL comics is any indication that the movie will appeal to audiences outside comic book fandom.

It comes down to a coin flip for me but I could see GL being a modest hit or a huge bomb. The newest trailer hasn't really got me any more revved up. I'm not a huge GL fan either.

OK why does no one seem to listen to Bryan Singer or Matthew Vaughn? First Class is NOT a reboot. It is a prequel that does take place within the established movie continuity.
