Who wins the box office war: 'Transformers 3' or the final 'Harry Potter'?
Who conquers the summer box office is always a fun guessing game, but if you look historically and domestically it's got to be "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." Even if audiences were turned off by the plot of the last "Transformers" film it still made $402 million in the U.S. and Michael Bay's mea culpa about the quality of "Revenge of the Fallen" has gone a long way to generating goodwill among moviefans hoping the franchise can turn things around. It's also worth noting the last two "Potter" films topped out at $301 and $295 million respectively. Even with it being the last film in the series, will it really take out battling robots? We're not so sure. Internationally, however, it's an entirely different story. That's where muggles pick magic over mechanics.
