Summer Songs of 2012: Winners and Losers
Which songs had their season in the sun and which ones tanked?
Winner: Carly Rae Jepsen, 'Call Me Maybe'
Not only is “Call Me Maybe” THE song of the summer, Carly Rae Jepsen is summer 2012’s It Girl. She captured fans’ (including the U.S. Olympic swim team) hearts with “Maybe,” which spent more weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 than any other song in 2012, and “Good Time,” her duet with Owl City is also lodged in the Top 10.

Considering the ego he and Kim K. have I'd say it's nothing short of a miracle that they've been able to remain pretty low-key, at least couple-wise. I'm sure dating Kim will do nothing but hurt his career but I'm not ready to write him off yet.
