Is 'Killers' as bad as Carl Ichan says? Does 'Shrek' have any gas left? Is 'Predator's the surprise hit?
Is "Predators" the surprise hit of the summer?
There are a number of films hoping to breakthrough as a sleeper or unexpected $100 million hit this summer. A few of the contenders include the comedies "Get Him To The Greek" and "Dinner for Schmucks," the Western "Jonah Hex," the remake of "The Karate Kid" and Julia Roberts' "Eat ,Pray, Love." However, the film that seems to be generating the most interest -- at least right now -- is the late to the party Sci-Fi "don't call it a reboot" "Predators."
Produced by Robert Rodriguez and directed by talented Nimrod Antal, the film's trailer already promises it's light years more interesting than the horrible "Alien vs. Predators" series. And with Laurence Fishburne and Adrien Brody on board as hunters being hunted by the crab-faced aliens, it's got some dramatic credibility to boot. And judging by that preview, we smell a big hit.
