Plus: Horror and comedies make their summertime mark
Dear Hollywood, America wants to laugh. "We're The Millers," "This Is The End," "The Heat," "Grown Ups 2," "The Way, Way Back" and, most recently, "The World's End," are all text book examples of moviegoers looking for comedy anywhere they could find it. Unless it was a Google commercial starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, of course. Movie audiences may have questionable taste, but they aren't idiots.
