Lowdown: You can't discount the power and appeal of Marvel Comics' Spider-Man. Arguably one of the most popular super heroes of all-time, the first "Spider-Man" shocked the industry by  becoming the first film to gross over $100 million in one weekend. This, however, isn't your Sam Raimi/Tobey Maguire/Kirsten Dunst "Spider-Man." Sony has gone in a younger direction and while many everyday moviegoers still ask "Why are they rebooting so soon?" the studio hopes it can still tap into that hardcore fanbase. Considering the box office history of the property we're spotting them $300 million.
