Highlight: Denis Leary and Peter Tolan bid farewell to 'Rescue Me'
All credit to "Rescue Me" co-creators Denis Leary and Peter Tolan for ticking off all of the boxes that make a good press tour panel.
First, they gave the reporters the quality quotes we needed for potential stories about the conclusion of their FX dramedy this September, complete with proper introspection about the show's lasting impact.
Then they bantered cleverly and even worked in a couple references to "Operation Dumbo Drop."
And finally, guaranteeing the panel's place in TCA History, Peter Tolan threatened to take off his pants and then followed through on said threat with hilarious banana-hammock results. It'll be a difficult panel to top in the years to come.
