Where did 'Playboy Club,' 'American Horror Story' and Zooey end up?
Highlight: Zooey Deschanel is adorable
Just as FOX's "New Girl" is likely to be a referendum on public appreciation for the enduring cuteness of Zooey Deschanel, the press tour panel for the single-camera comedy became an extended appreciation of the "Elf" star.
At one point, in response to a stream of tweets about Deschanel's whimsical, twee ways, one critic even asked, "When did you first know you were adorable?"
Her response: "My mom told me when I get compliments to cover my ears. I mean I’m sorry. I’m so embarrassed now. Thank you for saying that."
More than a few critics in the room weren't won over.
Many (most?) were.
FOX hopes America feels the same way.
