Is the former child star gaining indie cred or is she still a publicity whore?
Well, both. She has some indie cred and she's still a publicity whore.
Olsen had a nice role in the underrated 2008 Sundance Film Festival flick "The Wackness," but that's about it -- so far. Olsen is only 22-years-old, so she gets some slack. Plus, her eight episode arc on Showtime's "Weeds," probably television's equivalent of indie film, showed she's got a lot of talent to mine.
