September's must play video game releases: 'Halo: Reach,' 'Dead Rising 2,' 'Batman: Brave and the Bold'
Plus: 'Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions,' 'R.U.S.E., ' 'Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock' and more
We have to lead with the aforementioned Halo game, a prequel that's set before the original Halo on planet Reach, where you will play an elite supersoldier named Noble 6, trying to defend the universe against the upcoming Covenant invasion. As always, the real Halo experience is defined by multiplayer, which, in the case of Reach, is more customizable and much deeper than ever before. Modes like Slayer and King of the Hill make their return, along with new experiences like Headhunter, which will find players collecting skulls that are dropped by freshly-killed opponents, and Generator Defense, a 3-on-3 game in which Elites try and destroy three generators that are being guarded by Spartan defense. We predict you'll be playing this game a long, long time.
