Realistic, semi-realistic and entirely unrealistic candidates to reinvigorate 'SNL'
Fear not, “Psych” fans: we’re not wishing for that show’s demise. But the light comic touch he has brought to that show since 2006 has provided a world of experience in playing both the straight man and bringing over-the-top energy when necessary. He’s done very little else since his time on “The West Wing”, which suggests “SNL” would be able to cast him without too much of a fight should they decide to offer him a spot on the roster. He almost certainly wouldn’t be able to a full season, but has enough down time in order to come by Studio 8H on occasion.
