Pro: Scarlett Johansson is in the best form of her career right now
When Scarlett Johansson wowed critics (and won a BAFTA) 11 years ago with back-to-back lead turns in "Lost in Translation" and "Girl With a Pearl Earring," the sky seemed to be the limit for her -- a cover-girl beauty with real acting chops and interesting taste in projects. Over the next few years, however, flops like "The Nanny Diaries" and "The Spirit" tarnished her star a bit. But her feisty appearance as Black Widow in "The Avengers" marked the start of a creative and popular resurgence, while the last year has been the best of her career to date: contrastingly luminescent performances in "Under the Skin," "Don Jon" and "Her" reminded us of her onscreen magnetism, while she scored a kickass mainstream lead in Luc Besson's upcoming "Lucy." She's never been (or looked) hotter: there couldn't be a better moment for her to prove she can headline a superhero blockbuster, and what better character to play than the one who rescued her career in the first place?
