Why: I may have some logic issues with Arnold Schwarzenegger appearing as a robot again in a new 'Terminator' trilogy, but I'd accept a deadly machine that was designed to look like a heart patient in his early '60s easier than I'll believe Arnold as a savage barbarian warlord these days. When I hear Frederick Malmberg, the producer who controls the 'Conan' rights, talk excitedly about a new trilogy of 'Conan' films with Arnold starring, it just sounds desperate and sad. They had a shot at pulling this off a decade ago, maybe, but at this point, Arnold should be seeking out scripts like 'The Last Stand' that make note of who he is today and use that in the film instead of chasing former glories. And why would you want to do Robert E. Howard's stories and take out all the great crazy supernatural things that make his world so much fun? Either do your pulp as pulp, or don't do it at all.
