Movies: "Underworld" (2003), "Underworld: Evolution" (2006), "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" (2009), "Underworld: Awakening" (2012)
Upcoming movies: Kate Beckinsale is returning for "Underworld: Next Generation." Anna Foerster, who directed well-regarded episodes of "Outlander," is set to helm.
Why: Were the "Underworld" movies ever that good to begin with? With their clunky scripts, ugly cinematography, wasted actors and sub-par action sequences, they've always taken themselves far too seriously for their own good, and 2012's dismal third sequel "Awakening" was a mind-numbing slog through-and-through. Time to put a stake and/or a silver bullet through the heart of this monster-movie snoozefest.
