Will 2015 be the biggest year for movies ever? [Updated]
'Star Wars,' 'Avengers 2' and 'Mockingjay' lead the charge
Director: Ron Howard
Release date: December 18, 2015
Cast: Tom Hanks
Lowdown: Hanks is returning to play Robert Langdon -- perhaps the most boring role of his career -- for a third time under the direction of Howard. After scoring with "The Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons," the duo seemed less-than-excited to adapt Dan Brown's previous bestseller "The Lost Symbol" -- perhaps due to its similarities to the "National Treasure" films -- but have both signed on for "Inferno." The novel finds an amnesiac Robert Langdon dealing with Dante, viruses and a map of Hell, which will likely mean another crowd-pleasing box office hit which critics dismiss.
