In a franchise so far lacking any female ass-kickers, legendary '70s blaxploitation queen Grier would bring a dose of well-needed estrogen to the machismo-driven series. Billed by none other than Quentin Tarantino - who rejuvanated the actress' stalled-out career by casting her in his 1997 film "Jackie Brown" (pictured) - as possibly the first female action star in cinema history, Grier positively burned up the screen in a succession of mid-'70s shoestring flicks like "Coffy" and "Foxy Brown," all of which featured her as a tough-as-nails heroine with sex appeal to boot. Hell, she's already proven she can play ball with the boys. What are they waiting for?
