Who should host the 85th Academy Awards?
Tina Fey, Hugh Jackman, Sandra Bullock and...Chris O'Dowd?
Sort of a sharper-tongued version of Billy Crystal, Steve Martin's acerbic 2001 and 2003 hosting gigs (his 2010 effort felt rather muddled thanks to some awkward chemistry with co-host Alec Baldwin) succeeded due mainly to two factors: a) his obvious ease on-camera and b) his way with an acid one-liner. In some ways, he's actually the perfect host - a highly respected industry insider who unlike some of his contemporaries remains unafraid of ruffling a few feathers. Whether he'd even want the gig again is an open question, but with his exemplary track record it would be a pleasure to see him back.
