Chewbacca

Who: Chewbacca

From: "Star Wars"

What we would like to see: George Lucas changed his mind about having the climax of "Return of the Jedi" involve the Wookiee home planet, instead giving us the more kid-friendly Ewoks. He made up for it to a degree by sending Yoda to fight alongside Chewbacca and his people in "Revenge of the Sith," but I want to see the idea taken to the limit: an all-Wookiee film, with no humans, nor subtitles, just growls and gestures. (Chewie has never needed subtitles in the past, though in three of his four films, he had Han Solo reacting to him.) Think of it as an adventure movie spin on the opening to "2001: A Space Odyssey," or a silent movie with furry heroes. Give it to a director who's great at action and less capable when we have to stop to listen to people talk (Louis Leterrier, maybe?) and let him go crazy playing to all his strengths and none of his weaknesses.
