What do you get when you take the story of the Supremes --  a rags to riches saga filled with romance and heartbreak - and put it in the hands of Bill Condon, the man who came up with the Oscar-winning conceit of "Chicago"?  One of the few movie musicals to live up to its stage predecessor and expand on its cinematic potential.  And speaking of legends, no one thought anyone could replicate Jennifer Holliday's Tony Award-winning performance of "And I'm Telling You" as Effie White. Former "American Idol" contestant Jennifer Hudson set her own standard taking home ever honor possible and making Effie all her own. Throw in Eddie Murphy's charismatic turn as James 'Thunder' Early' and you've got a movie that's more than a 'dream,' it's magic.
