Well, at least now we know who Gossip Girl is! But wouldn't it have been better if we could have learned that key piece of information without having to deal with... everything else that happened on "Gossip Girl" in 2012? I'm talking about Bart Bass' oil deals, anything involving Ivy, the endless back-and-forth-and-back-and-forth with Dan and Serena or Blair and Chuck, anything involving the words "The Spectator," anything involving Nate's jailbait girlfriend Sage, anything involving anybody's fashion lines or anything involving anybody's tell-all memoirs? "Gossip Girl" at least delivered a marginally entertaining finale, but it only did that by bringing back old characters and jettisoning anything from the past 12 months of episode. I guess we should all be pleased that Chuck Bass didn't rape or assault or sell anybody in the last year. It's amazing Blair was still able to find him attractive.
