No. 2 - 'Work It'

It's better to view "Work It" not as a piece of televised art with writers and directors and a cast, but rather as an elaborate and not-inexpensive prank pulled by ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee. And you have to give Lee credit for one thing: After developing, ordering and defending "Work It" to the press, he knew better than to prolong the agony once it premiered. "Work It" aired twice and even though its second episode drew nearly 5 million viewers (an audience "Happy Endings" would kill for), Lee pulled the plug, sensing that America's appreciation for cross-dressing hilarity couldn't match his own. It didn't help that the outdated and statistically specious "Woe is man" theme behind "Work It" was the funniest part of the show. Tone-deaf on every level, "Work It" at least made audiences appreciate the subtle value of "Bosom Buddies," which never hurt.
