The Top 10 'Saturday Night Live' Sketches of 2012

3. Puppet Class (9/15/12)
One of the darkest sketches of the year was also one of the funniest. A Seth MacFarlane-led puppetry class goes horrifically wrong as Bill Hader’s war vet works through his PTSD via his cloth-based creation. Not only does Hader’s vet wreak havoc, but also starts to bring out the crazy in the other participant, culminating in a bizarre three-way human/puppet kiss with Vanessa Bayer’s oddly aroused classmate. Simple premise, clean characterization, and devastating execution make this one of the year’s best segments.
