"Come and play with us. Forever."
A photo of the unsettling Grady girls from "The Shining." Kubrick got the inspiration for the image after seeing Diane Arbus's photo "Identical Twins, Roselle, New Jersey, 1967." Kubrick met Arbus while a photographer himself at "Look" magazine. Fun fact: In 1999, Kubrick would cast Nicole Kidman in his swan song, "Eyes Wide Shut," and seven years later, Kidman would portray Arbus in the biopic "Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus."
