Well, just look at the photo to your left. If that sight – not to mention the insane vision of Goblin King David Bowie’s spray-on pants and sieved-spaghetti mullet – didn’t haunt your childhood dreams for weeks after seeing this ostensibly innocuous Jim Henson fantasy, you were clearly made of stronger stuff than I. Or, you know, just a lot older. The story, wherein young Jennifer Connelly has 13 hours to rescue her baby brother from the ghouls of the otherworld, but it’s principally the imagery that haunts here.
