10. "Brave" (Mark Andrews, Brenda Chapman, 2012)
Pixar's latest is the lowest on the totem pole, but not for lack of trying. "Brave" is actually a really touching film that tells a very human story about family and the ties that bind. It features some of the studio's most beautiful animation to date (indeed, neck and neck with the #1 film on this list where that's concerned), but ultimately the film comes across a bit more like top-tier Disney than top-tier Pixar, lacking the thematic density of latter's output. Nevertheless, it still beats the likes of "A Bug's Life," "Cars" and "Cars 2" by a country mile, so it deserves a place on the list, albeit at the bottom.
